Letting go of negative emotions is often a difficult thing to do.

 

Having faced this situation many times in my life, I came up with a simple formula.

 

WAVE is a 5-step plan that will help you turn your negative emotions into positive ones

 


Wire

The first step to transferring from positive to negative is to rewire your moral compass.

 

Ask yourself: Is what I'm doing good for me and my environment?

 

Analyse your experiences throughout the day on a scale from 1 to 10. 

 

Adjust

 

Ask yourself why the situation is occurring and why you are willing to notice it.

 

By reflecting on this matter, you adjust the power of the emotion, giving yourself more room to breathe. 

 

Value

 

When you feel emotion dissolve, develop the habit of belief that every experience is a lesson, either good or bad. 

Experience

 

Don't disregard from whatever happens. We often tend to create a negative feedback loop, making our thoughts go in circles.

 

Focusing on the fact that you 'don't feel good'.

 

Creates room for thought, where you accept the change to feel good again.
