Law of three

Studies show that only 3 of your tasks accord for 90% of the value.

There's a simple law or method that will guide you toward applying this principle to finding those 3 tasks.

I've learned it from Brian Tracy, a famous motivational speaker and author of best-selling books in the genre.

How to apply the law of three

Step 1 | Your goal

First of all you need to have the goal you want to accomplish in mind.

Step 2 | Make a list

Simply start by taking a sheet of paper and write down all the task you need to do in order to achieve your goal.

Step 3 | Circle one

Once all your tasks are written down you should ask yourself the following question:

If I could do only one task on this list, what one task would benefit me the most.

Once you have your answer, put a circle around that task.

Step 4 | Circle two

Now ask yourself the following question:

If I could do only two tasks on this list, which second task would benefit me the most.

Once you have your answer, put a circle around that task.

Step 5 | Circle three

Now ask yourself the following question:

If I could do only three tasks on this list, which third task would benefit me the most.

Once you have your answer, put a circle around that task.

Step 6 | Focus

Now you have your three circles, pick another sheet of paper and write them down on there.

These are the three tasks you should focus on first, for they will account for 90% of completing all the rest.
