10 words you need to change

Published on 21 February 2025 at 18:31

Did you know you're a wizard?

The words you use every day are magic spells.

They can lift people up or drag them down.

But it's not just about talking to others, words affect your own mindset.

Over 3000 years ago, King Solomon wrote:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.

-Proverbs 18:21 kjv

Time to change

Are you paying attention to the words you are using throughout the day?

Most people don't.

Most people are also confused, why things don't seem to get better for them.

Your actions might have changed lately, but if your words remain the same;

results will also remain the same...

10 words you should consider changing

Problem → Situation

When something's hard, don't call it a problem. Call it a situation.

We are much more likely to look into a situation rather than a "problem".

Failure → Lesson

If things don't work out, don't feel bad. Embrace it and think of it as a lesson. You learned something new! Remember there is no growth without failure!

Weakness → Area

Every weakness is an area you can start working on.

Don't neglect your own self-improvement by not acknowledging the area of growth.

Fear → Sign

Being scared is a sign of something that's holding you back.

We always need to look for a sign before we can look for the solution.

Criticism → Feedback

View everything as feedback even the most negative comments.

You'll quickly realise how to detach from negativity, because you'll come to realize it's impossible to please everyone.

Mistake → Experience

Don't say "I made a mistake."

Say "I tried another experience, and this is what I've learned.

Impossible → Unexplored

Never limit your potential by limiting human potential in general.

Keep an open mind and believe that nothing's impossible.

It just hasn't been done yet.

Maybe you'll be the first to delve into the unexplored!

Difficult → Demanding

Changing "difficult" to "demanding" acknowledges the input that's required of you.

It's better to boost your confidence and gain motivation than to doubt yourself.

Setback → Setup

If things go terribly wrong, it's not the end.

It's only the end, if you decide to give up.

A setback is simply the beginning of a setup for a comeback.

Task → Goal

Tasks are often seen as boring.

This is also why most people start to procrastinate, delay and stack up their tasks until a burnout washes it all away.

Set goals instead.

Goals are exciting, powerful and demanding.

So, it's time to get real.

It's time to clean up your choice of words.

Out with the negative, in with the positive.

It's not always easy, but it's worth it.

Because when we change our words, we change our world.

Now I'd like to hear from you.

What words have you changed lately?
