Get your head out of the sand.

Here's an uncomfortable truth
As the great business philosopher Jim Rohn once said,
Ignorance is not bliss, ignorance is POVERTY!
Why?
Ignorance isn’t just about 'not knowing'.
Ignorance is about choosing not to learn or refusing to see the bigger picture.
Are you ignorant?
Some examples of ignorance:
- Avoiding feedback because you don’t want to hear any criticism.
- Refusing to learn about other perspectives, or ideas.
- Ignoring financial education because you think money is 'boring'.
- Not researching before making decisions because it feels like 'too much effort'.
Ignorance isn’t just a lack of knowledge
it’s a mindset that says 'I don’t need to know'.
Or even worse 'I don’t care'...
3 REASONS why you shouldn't stay ignorant
(Scroll down to read more).
1. Comfort comes at a cost
At first, ignorance might feel like a kind of bliss.
This is because:
If you don’t know about a problem, you start to believe you don’t have to deal with it.
If you avoid learning something difficult, you start to believe you don’t have to put in any effort.
While the truth is the exact opposite:
If you don't know about a problem, the problem will eventually come when you're not prepared.
If you avoid learning something difficult, you'll need to put more effort in an constantly evolving world.
Understand this:
Ignorance might feel safe for now... but it will surely limit your future potential!
2. Refusing knowledge stagnates purpose
Knowledge isn’t just something we collect for pleasure or fun.
Knowledge drives purpose in our lives and in the world.
When we remain ignorant we stop evolving both internally and externally.
Internally:
If you don't learn about your strengths and weaknesses you’ll never grow.
Externally:
If society ignores science or refuses to address global issues, progress slows down for everyone.
Understand this:
Knowledge fuels evolution.
Knowledge is key for individuals and for humanity as a whole.
Staying ignorant keeps us stuck in the past.
3. Ignorance causes harm
Without knowledge your choices are often based on emotion or guesswork instead of facts.
Harm to yourself:
Ignoring the facts about what's unhealthy for you is one of the main reasons for disease and depression. If you smoke 2 packs of cigarettes every day and don't know what the consequences are, you'll eventually regret it...
Harm to others:
Staying uninformed can lead to sharing false information that misguides other people.
When we ignore other people’s experiences or struggles, we become less compassionate and ultimately more driven by hate.
4 WAYS you can REMOVE IGNORANCE
(Scroll down to read more).
How to be less ignorant?
1. Remain curious
Curiosity is the opposite of ignorance.
That's why you should always ask questions about subjects you don't yet understand.
2. Challenge yourself
Taking on challenges is accepting life and all its beauty.
That's why you should set clear goals and strive to achieve your full potential.
3. Learn learn learn
Making education a lifelong habit will make you a better person throughout all aspects of life.
That's why you should know what interests you specifically and read books, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts on the subject.
4. Open your mind
Opening up your mind helps expand your understanding of the world and the people around you.
Always be willing to hear different perspectives and consider ideas that challenge your beliefs.
Now it's up to you to get your head out of the sand.
You're not an ostrich.
You're a human being with a purpose.
