Robotaxi

First Musk revealed The Cybercab, an autonomous vehicle without pedals or steering wheels that would cost less than $30,000.

The car actually drove Musk around the scene as the audience applauded.

“With autonomy, you get your life back,” Musk said. Autonomous cars will be 10 times safer than cars with human drivers, he said, and future AVs will be “comfortable little lounges.”

Additionally, Musk pledged that by 2025, standard Tesla vehicles like the Model 3 and Model Y will be able to operate fully autonomously and be seen on roads in California and Texas.

Robovan

Also making its appearance was the Robovan, a futuristic-looking, boxy car that can hold up to 20 passengers or goods.

The van drove by the audience and stopped to drop off passengers.

Optimus Robots

Last but not least the Tesla Optimus humanoid robots where showcased for personal and domestic use, which Musk said would be a “buddy” for anyone. You can have your own R2-D2 or C-3PO,” Musk said. “The Optimus robots will walk among you.

The robots actually walked around the audience and handed out gifts, made jokes and went into conversations with the guests.

One of them even sang happy birthday to one of the guests.

It will basically do anything you want. It can be a teacher. It can babysit your kids, walk your dog, mow your lawn, get the groceries, just be your friend, and serve drinks. Whatever you can think of, it will do and it's going to be awesome,” said Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
