How it all started
Bob was born the 5th of July 1934, in Guelph Ontario (Canada) as one of three children in his family.
Fun fact, Bob is actually a shorter name for his full birth name "Robert Corlett Proctor".
Studying at Danford Tech school, Bob encountered an accident with a mechanical saw which injured his thumb and made him quit school with no career path in sight. This made him look for others way of achieving his dream of becoming successful one day.
Few years later in the early 1960's Bob came across a man who handed him the book "Think and Grow Rich" by the author Napoleon Hill.
Been heavily inspired by the teachings within the book, Bob didn't only read it every day but also frequently enjoyed listening to the audio version recorded by Earl Nightingale.

Running a business
Despite his knowledge of business, Bob took the principles from Hill and transformed them into reality by starting his very own cleaning company which offered local cleaning services in Canada.
The company became a success after landing a major profit in the first years since it took off.
But Bob didn't feel like settling down for just one business and decided to further scale it to an even bigger success.
To do this he quickly figured out he would need some mentoring and coaching, and who would do it better than the man he admired at that time,... Earl Nightingale.
Big city life
Bob did the necessary and moved to Chicago to apply for a job at Nightingale Conant, which was the company ran by Earl Nightingale himself.
Earl granted Bob a position in sales, and Bob gladly accepted it to further develop himself and gain the necessary knowledge needed to build his very own coaching company.
After working in regular sales from 1968 till 1973, Bob took the role of Vice President of Sales and learned a lot from gaining more responsibility in a leading role within an international business.

You Were Born Rich
With the experience gained from Nightingale Conant, Bob took his pen and wrote his very own book "You Were Born Rich" in which he explained how he manifested his success.
The book was frequently denied by several publishers at first, but that didn't stop Bob from believing in the power of it.
He pushed on contacting several other publishers until one day, McCrary Publishing took the book and published it in their catalogue in the year 1984. Within some months, the book became an instant international best-seller and everyone felt inspired by it..
Seminar Casette
Due to the success of the book, Bob decided to take it to another level in 1988 and hosted a three day seminar course that was recorded on cassette tape from the "You Were Born Rich" book.
This seminar is considered one of the most watched and bought seminar series till this day.
It's even uploaded in full by the official Proctor Gallagher Youtube channel, watch here
