Dealing with Stress

Most people think stress is the enemy of progress.

The truth is that stress has brought forward more progress than taking it easy ever will.

Stress = Pressure

Pressure shapes diamonds.

Vincent van Gogh painted The Starry Night while he was staying in a mental asylum while battling mental illness.

Beethoven went deaf and still wrote one of the greatest classical works of music ever known The Ninth Symphony.

JK Rowling was a single mom on welfare while she wrote Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.

Steve Jobs got fired from Apple in 1985 and instead went back to work on another company he founded NeXT, which later launched world's first web browser.

Dostoevsky wrote The Gambler while he was in gambling debt.

Walt Disney's first animation studio went bankrupt which left him broke while he came up with the idea to create Mickey Mouse.

Next time you’re stressed out, maybe don’t just curse the universe...

Grab a pen, a brush, or whatever your thing is.

You might just surprise yourself with what comes out of it.

Stress might be hard, but it’s one heck of a motivator.

What do you think?
